Ruin With Severe Static Problems Transformed Into A Marvelous Stone House
MG02-12

In 2010 our office was asked to renovate a stone house at the end of the village of Rou, near Kentroma. What we found when we visited the site was a ruin of a building with severe subsidence and huge cracks in its walls. We decided to keep one of the remaining walls and many of the house’s stones in order to reuse them and maintain the original style of the building. We managed to create a brand new house by keeping the character and traditional elements of the old and with the help of the artist owner and friend, we achieved a great interior design and a superb landscape.
